SRH Centurion Harry Brook pulls out of IPL 2024

Sun Risers Hyderabad, SRH team, has released English upcoming star Harry Brook before 2024 Mini-Auction. He scored a century in one of the matches he played in 2023 but failed to score as the franchise anticipated. He scored at an average of 21. Hence, the franchise released him as he dented Rs.13.25 crore of their purse for Pat Cummins.

In the mini-auction, Delhi Capitals – DC, bought him for INR 4 crores and now, he has decided to pull out of the tournament. As the tournament is about to begin from 22nd March, Brook has decided to pull out on 13th March. His family requested privacy during this time and like Jason Roy, he also did not talk about the reasons, clearly.

DC are looking for a viable replacement as Kolkata Knight Riders – KKR, has already replaced Jason Roy with Phil Salt. Franchises are unhappy with such last minute withdrawls by International Players. They have made plans over the year with these players on their mind. Suddenly, they are forced to change their plans and hence, the resentment among the franchises.

England players have been notorious with such last minute pull-outs due to “personal reasons” earlier, as well. Hence, BCCI is thinking about asking players to honor their commitment once they register for the auction. As franchises spent so much on acquiring their talents and nuture over the tournament, the cricketing board wants the players to be more professional in their behavior.
