Pat Cummins stars in Australia win against Pakistan

Pat Cummins took ten wicket haul in the Test Match

Australia did not give any kind of chance to Pakistan to make a come back in the Boxing Day Test match. Despite pushing Australia on the backfoot, Pak bowlers could not keep the momentum to restrict Aus for a low score. Mitchell Marsh’s onslaught has helped Aus to score 262 in the second innings.

Alex Carey has scored 53 runs to further push the score from the grasp of Pakistan batters. Still, Pak batters tried to put up a braveheart chase in the fourth innings. Captain Shan Masood, Babar Azam and Agha Salman threatened to take the match away from Aus in the chase.

Australia Captain Pat Cummins, once again took 5 wickets in the second innings to give a memorable victory to his team. None of the tail-enders could contribute and that did not help Pak, one bit. Star bowler Mitchell Starc also fired with 4 wickets. Shan Masood counter-attacked with 60 runs from 71 balls. Babar Azam also joined him with a handsome 41 runs.

Agha Salman with a 50 turned out to be a serious threat for Australia. Pakistan fell short with 79 runs and got bowled out for 237. But they tried hard to give a fight and we should appreciate their spirit. Pat Cummins for his 5/48 and 5/49 in both innings got Player of the Match award. Now, both the teams will play last Test at Sydney, SCG from 3rd January.
