Mohammed Shami receives Arjuna Award for his CWC 2023 performance

Mohammed Shami poses with his Arjuna Award

Mohammed Shami is one of the rare talents among Indian Cricketers. We can classify him as a rare talent because it has been rare to find a gem of a pace bowler who can swing, seam and bounce at pace from Indian breed of bowlers. He has been able to improve himself over the years by increasing his pace and accuracy. Now, he has become one of the best bowlers around the world.

His performance in the recently concluded CWC 2023 has been exemplary to his dedication and commitment. He took 24 wickets with back-to-back 5 wicket hauls. He decimated batting line-ups like Sri Lanka, England and has been key in winning Semi-Final against New Zealand. He gave the tournament everything he can and despite being injured he played at his best.

While, he came into the side as a seam bowler with pace, he developed variation and also increased his pace to consistently hit the difficult length for the batters.
