Indian Cricketer Mayank Agarwal had to be rushed back to Agartala mid-flight after he complained about burning sensation in his throat. He boarded IndiGo flight 6E 5177 at Agartala, Tripura to Surat for his next Ranji Match for Karnataka. He is the captain of the Ranji side and the team is currently in the second place in Group C. Karnataka will play against Railways in their next match.
Mayank Agarwal upon boarding the flght drank from a bottle of packaged water. He thought it is harmless water but he started complaining about burning sensation and had a bout of vomiting. Hence, flight had to be returned to Agartala, immediately, to tend to the medical emergency.
Doctors have stated that he had ulcers and swelling upon admission. They stated that he complained about oral irritation and swelling on the lips. Doctors have given him injections to contain pain and discharged him. Mayank Agarwal will be flying to Bengaluru and he will be admitted to local hospital for further examination.

Tripura Police have taken complaint about the possible food poisoning and they stated that they will investigate. Doctors have stated that he will take at least one more week to fully recover. He wlll be missing Karnataka’s next Ranji Match. We have to wait for futher details from his PR team.
