From the opening match, IPL 2024 has been delivering great entertainers for cricket lovers. The matches have been becoming more interesting with each passing day. SRH after almost chasing down 200 target against KKR at Eden Gardens, are hosting their first home game against MI, in Hyderabad. SRH has taken spectators and cricket lovers by their batting performance in first innings of the match.
Earlier, Hardik Pandya has won the toss for MI and elected to field first. SRH has brought-in Travis Head to open the innings in this match. He has set the ground on fire with his strokes. On a batting friendly pitch he murdered bowlers with his fearlessness and authoritative strokes. He scored 62 runs from just 24 balls setting ball on a roll.
Abhishek Sharma also unleashed beast in him and scored 63 runs from just 23 balls. The youngster has broken Travis Head record for fastest fifty for SRH. Aiden Markram(42) and Heinrich Klaasen(80) have come together at this juncture. The South African middle-order batters made it difficult for bowlers to find a proper line and length. Against Spinners, Heinrich Klaasen has been brutal once again.
Klaasen in the final over pushed the score beyond 263 by RCB for creating the IPL record for highest score ever. SRH has scored 277/3 from 20 overs and have set unattainable target for MI. If MI manages to chase this target down, then they will be the highest scorers in IPL history just like 434 and 438 match between Australia and South Africa.
