In the chase, KKR did not find big starts from Sunil Narine(6) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi(7) but at the other end, Phil Salt tore into LSG bowlers. Captain Shreyas Iyer started rotating strike at this moment giving support to Phil Salt’s aggressive approach. This made chasing easy for KKR against LSG. They both have put on 120 runs partnership taking KKR over finishing line.
Phil Salt scored 89 runs of 49 balls batting till the end and Shreyas Iyer scored 38 runs of 38 balls. KKR scored 162/2 in 15.4 overs and won the match with 8 wickets and 26 balls remaining. This win has increased their NRR and chances to qualify this season. They have won 4 matches out of 5 and are looking a certain for qualifiers till date.
