IPL 2024: DC bowlers and Jake take them to winning shores

DC, Delhi Capitals, have been the other team that is struggling to win matches post RCB, in IPL 2024. Rishabh Pant has comeback from injuries after a deadly accident to the field and started showcasing his form. Yet, the team has been failing to win the matches. DC won only one match against CSK till tonight. They have easily won against LSG, at Lucknow Ekana Stadium.

LSG like CSK made Ekana, their fortress and it has become hard to beat them on their home turf. But DC spinners found their rhythm to set up an easy win for their team. Earlier, LSG won the toss and elected to bat first. KL Rahul batted with some rhythm and scored 39 runs off 22 balls but rest of the high performers failed to score.

Ayush Badoni came into form and scored 55 runs off 35 balls to give LSG, a decent score. They scored 167/7 in 20 overs. DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets by giving away just 20 runs in his 4 overs. He took wickets of Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran and Rahul to break the backbone of LSG. Even Krunal Pandya failed to find some rhythm.

Ekana stadium had been known for being helpful to spinners and slow cutters. But DC’s spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel made use of the conditions better than LSG bowlers. Ravi Bishnoi(2/25) could only find some wickets while Krunal Pandya failed to restrict batters in this game. With this win, DC pushed RCB to bottom of the table.
