Indian crowds jam packed near Marine Drive and near Wankhede in Mumbai

Indian team has made every citizen proud by winning T20 World Cup 2024. Finally, cricketers have arrived from Caribbean Islands to India with the world cup. They landed on 4th July in the morning time and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM discussed with each and every cricketer, head coach Rahul Dravid about their winning campaign.

Being the first time that Indian team won an ICC trophy by being unbeaten, he congratulated captain Rohit Sharma for his great plans. He talked with Virat Kohli about his atheletism and knock in the final. He specially congratulated Suryakumar Yadav for his catch and spoke highly about each player, support staff.

Later, BCCI organised big celebrations at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. They invited Indian fans willing to join the celebrations at the stadium. As anticipated the stadium got jam packed. More than that, the entire Mumbai’s Marine Drive got arrested with huge number of crowds accumulating on roads.

As the cricketers started going to the stadium from their hotel, the team bus got surrounded by huge number of crowds. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and many cricketers received very warm welcome by the crowds. They kept chanting slogans praising them and both of them looked very happy dancing with the cup. After reaching the stadium they started dancing and waving at the crowds.

Already BCCI announced Rs.125 crores as prize amount for Indian team for their title winning campaign. After 2011, the visuals of a world class busy city like Mumbai being arrested made cricket fans really happy. The visuals have created new memories for Indian cricket fans of the 20’s generation and we hope this trend continues in ICC tournaments.
