He retained his Championship title this year, proving to be on rise post his surprising victory of Wimbledon title previous year. Novak Djokovic looked mostly helpless against Carlos Alcaraz throughout the three sets. He found a chance to make a come back only in the third set when Alcaraz missed out on three Championship points. He recouped and won the match with 6-2 6-2 7-6 (7-4) scoreline in straight sets.
