Ben Duckett has been one of the biggest explorers of new-age aggressive Bazball cricket for England in Tests. He and Zak Crawley have been giving England big starts in an aggressive way. They set the stage for the other batters to follow and opposition bowlers find themselves reeling behind. Ben Duckett did the same in Rajkot Test.
He scored a huge century and gave Indian bowlers huge challenge. Earlier in the second day, Dhurv Jurel(46), Ravichandran Ashwin(37) and Jasprit Bumrah(26) helped Indian team to reach 445 runs from 130.5 overs. Mark Wood(4/114), Rehan Ahmed(2/85), James Anderson(1/61), Joe Root(1/70) and Tom Hartley(1/109) took wickets for England.
Ben Duckett took on Indian bowlers and kept scoring huge. Due to his innings, England reached 89 runs in 13 overs and Zak Crawley(15) got out to Ravichandran Ashwin giving his 500th wicket. Ollie Pope joined Duckett and they both have put on 93-run partnership for the second wicket.
Ben Duckett scored his third century and he ended the day at 133 runs. Mohammed Siraj dismissed Ollie Pope(39) and Joe Root joined Duckett to end the second day for England. At the end of the second day, England scored 207/2 and they are looking strong to give India huge fight in the Rajkot Test.
