Bangladesh has been able to win ODI series against Sri Lanka at Chattogram. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh both needed to win the last ODI at Chattogram to win the series. SL has won the toss and elected to bat first. Janith Liyanage has scored a huge century, 101 runs from 102 balls taking Sri Lanka score to 235 in 50 overs.
Kusal Mendis(29), Charith Asalanka(37) struggled due to tight line and length bowling of Bangla bowlers. Maheesh Theekshana scored 15 runs from 40 balls to give Liyanage a stand in the ending overs to take the score to that respectable level. During the innings, Mustafizur Rahman got injured and Jaker Ali got injured due to collision with Anamul Haque.
In the chase, opener Tanzid Hasan(84) kept one end going while he saw wickets losing at regular intervals on the other. Mushfiqur Rahim(37) and Rishad Hossain ‘s 48 from 18 balls have sealed the deal for Bangladesh to win the series by 2-1. Lahiru Kumara(4/48) has put in his best efforts to take Sri Lanka to winning shores.
Mushfiqur Rahim brought the broken helmet to give a retort to SL’s “timed out” celebrations after T20I series win.
