Japan Earthquake causes huge natural disaster

On New Year’s Day, Japan faced horrific natural disaster. The country faced 155 tremors and one of them is off the magnitude massive 7.6. Due to regular quakes and being easily prone to tremors, tsunamis and tough climatic disasters, Japan has always been ready to face them. But this is a massive natural disaster as many have been hopeful and gleeful in welcoming the New Year, 2024.

The epicenter for the quakes has been identified as Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa Prefecture. As the epicenter is in Sea of Japan, the meteorological department of Japan has given severe tsunami warning along the coast. The earthquake has hit the main island of Japan and Tokyo could feel the tremors, 300 km away from the epicenter.

The tremors have triggered fire in Wajima City and the fire has burnt down 100 homes. Many of the buildings are completely damaged due to the fire and tremors. After shocks will be felt throughout the Japan, in coming days, predicted meteorological department. Many videos of people running in fear due to earthquakes are going viral on social media. People are offering prayers and good wishes for Japan to recover soon.

As off now, 48 people are confirmed to be dead. And 1000 military personnel have been performing rescue operations on ground. Japan PM Fumio Kishida, has remarked that they are in a “battle against time” to rescue people trapped under the rubbles. 100s have been transferred to nearby hospitals and huge amount of evacuation operations are going in those areas that are identified to be sensitive.

Jr. NTR, who came back after a vacation trip to Japan recently, has expressed his grief over the earthquake visuals and he stated that he wishes the country to recover soon from the disaster. Meteorological department as downgraded severe tsunami warning in the country but it still maintained the tsunami warning for upcoming week.
