Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh – September 21, 2024: VIT-AP University proudly celebrated its 4th Convocation ceremony today, honoring the remarkable achievements of the Class of 2024. The event took place on the university’s picturesque campus, marking a significant milestone in the graduates’ academic journeys.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, faculty, staff, proud parents, and the graduating students. Sri S. Abdul Nazeer, the Hon’ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, served as the Chief Guest, while Shri Amjad Khan Pathan, Vice President and Center Head of Bosch Global Software Technologies in Hyderabad, was the Guest of Honour.
In his address to the graduates, Sri S. Abdul Nazeer highlighted the vital role of youth in realizing the vision of a developed India by 2047 (Vikasit Bharat). He encouraged the students of VIT-AP University to contribute actively to nation-building and development. He praised the graduates of the fourth convocation and commended VIT-AP University for its various skill development and social service initiatives, particularly the STARS program, which offers free education and accommodation to talented students from rural areas who excel in government junior colleges across Andhra Pradesh.
He remarked that the Convocation Ceremony symbolizes the dedication and perseverance of the graduates. “It is a moment of pride for the university as we witness students stepping into a new phase of their lives, equipped with knowledge, skills, and a strong sense of purpose,” he said. The Governor emphasized that education extends beyond textbooks and exams; it is a journey of self-discovery that shapes individuals into critical thinkers and effective communicators, ready to adapt to the globalized world.
Shri Amjad Khan Pathan, in his role as Guest of Honour, noted that students who remain dedicated are better equipped to face challenges. He reminded the audience that convocation represents not just an ending but a new beginning, urging graduates to embrace lifelong learning.
G. Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor of VIT, expressed that the grand convocation reflects the university’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering excellence. He congratulated the Class of 2024 for their hard work and resilience, assuring them that they are well-prepared to make a significant impact in their future endeavors.
Other notable attendees included Mr. M. Hari Jawaharlal, IAS, Secretary to the Hon’ble Governor; Sri Sankar Viswanathan, Vice President; Ms. Kadambari Viswanathan, AVP of VIT University; Dr. S. V. Kota Reddy, Vice Chancellor; Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti, Registrar; and Dr. N. Madhusudhan Rao, along with deans, faculty, staff, graduates, and their parents.
