explained what led him down this new path, insisting that his shift in beliefs is neither sudden nor politically motivated.

“I didn’t wake up one day with a new ideology,” Kalyan said. “It’s the result of years of internal conflict. I’ve often felt disturbed by the casual disrespect shown towards Hindu traditions and deities. At some point, I decided I had to respond—not with anger, but with clarity.”

His recent tour across southern India, focused on promoting Hindu values, drew both praise and suspicion. Critics questioned the timing and intent behind his spiritual outreach, wondering if it was linked to political ambitions. But Kalyan was clear: “This journey is personal. It’s not directed by any party or organisation. I’m not doing this for the BJP or RSS. I’m doing it for myself and for what I believe in.”

Once widely admired for his left-leaning ideals and advocacy for social justice, Kalyan’s change in tone has sparked a lively public debate. Some call it an honest evolution, while others accuse him of ideological convenience.

Despite the backlash, the Jana Sena Party leader appeared calm and focused. “People will always talk,” he said. “What matters is being honest with yourself. I’ve found a belief system that brings me strength, and I won’t apologise for that.”

Kalyan’s comments may not put an end to the criticism, but they offer a rare glimpse into the personal convictions guiding his public actions today
