Suvendu stated that Bangladesh has already said that it is ready to take back its citizens from India.. It is the responsibility of the government to take them back. He said that the police have been ordered not to jail those accused of being intruders. They asked if they were our relatives to shelter and feed them.
Establishment of detention centers
The Bengal government is taking steps to deport foreigners from the country under the slogan “Identify, Remove, Deport”. In this order, holding centers are being set up to provide temporary shelter to those who are found to have entered the state illegally and those who do not have proper documents. Officials revealed that the first detention center has been opened in Malda. He said that more arrangements will be made soon.

Officials revealed that tens of Bangladeshis had gathered in the border area of Hakeempur in North 24 Parganas district on Tuesday morning.
