Revanth Reddy Visits Kaleswaram Temple, Reviews Medigadda Barrage Repairs

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visited Jayashankar Bhupalapally district on Monday. On this occasion, he visited Sri Kaleswara Mukteshwara Swamy in Kaleswaram, known as Dakshina Kashi. During this visit, he mainly focused on temple development and Medigadda barrage restoration works. On reaching Kaleswaram, the temple priests and officials welcomed the Chief Minister with full kumbham. Revanth Reddy visited Swami and performed special pujas. Later, he performed Bhumi Pooja for various development works to be undertaken in the temple premises. On this occasion, the government indicated that the Kaleswaram Kshetra will be further developed for the convenience of the devotees.

After visiting the temple, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directly reached Medigadda Barrage. He will examine the collapse of Medigadda barrage, which has become controversial for some time now, the current status and the restoration works at the field level. He will hold a review with engineering officials about the progress of barrage repairs and protective measures to be taken before monsoon season. In the wake of criticism of the previous government over the Kaleshwaram project, CM Revanth Reddy’s visit to Medigadda itself has gained political importance. Through this visit, he will give direction to the officials on the security of the project and future operations. In view of the CM’s visit, the police have made heavy security arrangements. Ministers, local MLAs and high officials are accompanying the Chief Minister on this visit.
