Former Vice President and well-known Telugu politician Venkaiah Naidu has been conferred with Padma Vibhushan. Interestingly, among the current politicians from Telugu states, he is the only ne to receive second highest Indian Civilian award.
Ex-President Zakir Hussain, Padmaja Naidu, Nawab Mehdi Nawaz Jung, P. V. R. Rao, Arcot Ramasamy Mudaliar, Durgabai Deshmukh, Nawab Ali Yavar Jung, N.G. Ranga, Kaloji Narayana Rao, Ravi Narayana Reddy, M. Narasimham, Y. Venugopal Reddy, Ramoji Rao are the Telugu personalities to win Padma Vibhushan other than Akkineni Nageswara Rao and S.P. Balasubramanyam, who did exceptional work in arts.
Along with Venkaiah Naidu, Megastar Chiranjeevi has also been honoured with Padma Vibhushan by Union Government. Every Telugu famous personality congratulated both of them.
Interestingly, Megastar Chiranjeevi also congratulated Venkaiah Naidu, meeting him personally. Venkaiah Naidu is best known for his orating skills and being able to fight for Telugu farmers and deligate in favor of state affairs. He is instrumental in voicing concerns of Telugu people about partition of states as well. We congratulate Shri. Venkaiah Naidu for his exceptional achievement and body of work.
