A record polling was recorded in West Bengal first-phase polls. Reacting to this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that it is clear that people want change. And, Didi (referring to CM Mamata Banerjee) said that the time has come for her to step down. Amit Shah made these comments at a press conference in Kolkata.
As part of the first phase, polling was held for 152 seats. The Union Minister expressed confidence that BJP will win in more than 110 seats. ‘According to the information received by us.. the people of Bengal decided their future in the first stage. They favored development under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. If you look at the first phase of polling, it is clear that the time has come for Didi to step down and BJP will take over the power,” said Amit Shah. Amit Shah said that if BJP comes to power, they will end the reign of terror in West Bengal. He promised to restore the rule of law. He said that change means.. to make it an intrusion-free Bengal. Freedom from corruption, appeasement, exploitation and providing employment opportunities to the youth. After the formation of the government, the safety of women will be given high priority.
Mamata Banerjee has criticized rumors that if BJP comes to power in Bengal, it will be ruled from outside. Didi, I have to tell you something. Those who are born here, educated in Bengali and can speak that language will become the next CM of Bengal. However, it is not your nephew (referring to Abhishek Banerjee). Amit Shah said that the Chief Minister is a BJP worker.
