Why filmmakers are overlooking Krithi Shetty

Krithi Shetty

When an actress stars in a film that earns over 100 crore rupees, it usually changes her career. But Krithi Shetty didn’t becomes busier with projects, and filmmakers didn’t consider her a “lucky charm” which happens after an actress achieves such a success. Directors and producers often believe that having such an actress in their films will bring them success. They do not hesitate to offer high pay to cast her, sometimes even crores of rupees.

But for Krithi Shetty, also known as “Bebamma,” things seem different. Despite acting in hit films, she has not received the same level of opportunities that many others enjoy. This situation has now become a hot topic online.

Krithi started her Telugu film journey with Uppena, which was a massive success. That debut made her one of the busiest young actresses in Tollywood. She worked back-to-back in several projects. While not all of her films turned out to be big hits, she never lacked opportunities in the Telugu industry.

In Tamil cinema too, she has been receiving a fair number of offers, even though she hasn’t tasted consistent success there. Producers and directors in Tamil Nadu continue to show interest in casting her.

However, the case of Malayalam cinema, also known as Mollywood, is quite surprising. The Malayalam industry is known for giving strong roles to heroines. Unlike in some other industries, heroines are not shown in a vulgar way. Instead, films focus on strong stories and powerful female characters. No actress usually misses a chance to work there.

This is why many are questioning why Krithi Shetty has not been offered Malayalam filmmakers, despite her popularity. In an industry that is considered one of the most decent and content-driven in India, it is surprising that she has been left out.
Fans are now eagerly waiting to see if Mollywood will soon open its doors to Krithi Shetty and allow her to showcase her talent in strong, story-driven roles.
