The highly anticipated film “Amaran,” featuring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, is making waves in the industry. Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, the movie is inspired by the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was martyred in a terrorist attack. In this film, Sivakarthikeyan portrays the character of Mukund, while Sai Pallavi plays his wife, Indu Rebecca.
As part of the promotional activities, the film team recently shared a special video introducing Sai Pallavi’s role, which has garnered widespread acclaim from audiences. Following the video’s release, Sai Pallavi expressed her gratitude in an interview, thanking fans for their kind words.
In her interview, she shared her excitement about taking on this role, saying, “I have never acted in a biopic before. I made sure to seize every opportunity, understanding the character and working accordingly. I wanted to do full justice to the emotional depth of the role.” She further mentioned that after receiving the offer for “Amaran,” she was determined to accurately portray Indu Rebecca. To prepare for her role, she met with Indu and discussed various aspects of her life, gaining insights into the emotions connected to the character.

The film is based on the life of Major Varadarajan as detailed in the book “India’s Most Fearless,” written by Shiv Arur and Rahul Singh. It is being produced under the banner of Raj Kamal Films International by Kamal Haasan. The film’s music is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
Sivakarthikeyan recently shared the challenges he faced in portraying an army officer, stating that initially, it seemed quite daunting. He traveled to Kashmir to learn about the responsibilities of soldiers, realizing that his struggles were minimal compared to theirs. After hearing the story of “Amaran,” he found it hard to sleep, knowing he had to bring this powerful narrative to the big screen.
“Amaran” is set to release on October 31 in both Telugu and Tamil languages. In the Telugu states, the film will be distributed by Sudhakar Reddy and Nikhita Reddy under the banner of Shresth Movies.
