The upcoming romantic comedy Virgin Boys, starring Geethanand and Mitra Sharma, is all set to release in cinemas on 11 July. Directed by Dayanand and produced by Raja Darapuneni, the film has already grabbed attention with its trailer, which received a strong response from audiences.
During a recent press meet, the film’s team addressed questions about a bold scene shown in the trailer, involving a condom demonstration. When asked about its relevance, the team explained that the scene was included for a reason, to provide clarity on a subject rarely addressed openly.
Producer Raja Darapuneni responded frankly, saying, “People are told to use protection, but no one shows how to use it. Many face this confusion in real life.” He added that the scene has been handled with humour and was approved by the censor board.
Lead actor Geethanand supported the decision, stating, “There’s a dialogue before the scene. Our education system doesn’t discuss this topic, which leads to mistakes. Some serious issues happen due to lack of awareness. We wanted to deliver a message through satire.”
The press meet turned lively as Darapuneni explained the scene in detail, adding humour while making a point about the importance of sexual education for youth.
The film focuses on college life, friendships, and youthful love stories. According to the makers, Virgin Boys is filled with surprises and is designed to connect well with young audiences. They are confident that the mix of comedy, romance, and relatable content will make the film a box office success.
