Title revealed: Karthi begins new film ‘Marshal’ with pooja

Actor Karthi has started work on his 29th film, the title is Marshal. The project is directed by Tamizh, known for the praised film Taanakkaran. The shoot began today with a traditional pooja ceremony.

The film is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the Dream Warrior Pictures banner, along with Ishan Saksena as co-producer.
A striking first-look poster has been released. It shows Karthi standing by the sea with his hands joined, but his face is hidden, adding mystery to the character.

Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has been cast as the female lead. The film also features popular names such as Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Lal, John Kokken, Easwari Rao, and Murali Sharma in key roles.

Marshal is expected to be a large-scale production with strong technical support. Sathyan Sooryan will handle cinematography, while the music is by Sai Abhyankar, a rising name in the industry. Editing will be done by Philomin Raj, and the production design is led by Arun Venjaramoodu.

Karthi was last seen in the emotional rural drama Sathyam Sundaram. With Marshal, he teams up for the first time with director Tamizh, raising expectations for something fresh.

The film is said to be packed with action and drama, and the team promises high-quality visuals and storytelling. With a powerful title, an impressive team, and a grand start, Marshal is shaping up to be a film to watch out for in the coming months.

Karthi will also soon be seen in Sardar 2, the sequel to his 2022 spy thriller. Directed by P. S. Mithran, the film features Rajisha Vijayan, S. J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, and Ashika Ranganath. Produced by Prince Pictures and IVY Entertainment, it was filmed from July 2024 to June 2025. Music is by Sam C. S., with visuals by George C. Williams and editing by Vijay Velukutty.
