The highly anticipated film Thandel, featuring Naga Chaitanya in the lead role and directed by Chandu Mondeti, has officially announced its release date. The film, which also stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead, is set to hit theaters on February 7. This announcement was made during a recent press meet attended by Naga Chaitanya, Sai Pallavi, director Chandu Mondeti, and producers Allu Aravind and Bunny Vasulu, who shared exciting details about the project.
Allu Aravind expressed his admiration for Sai Pallavi, affectionately referring to her as a daughter. He shared that he was moved by her performance in the recently released film Amaran, prompting him to call and congratulate her personally.
Naga Chaitanya spoke about his approach to release dates, saying, “In my career, I often decided on a release date before completing the film, which sometimes led to mistakes. I have always believed it would be better to announce the release date after the film was finished, and this project has finally made that possible. I am thrilled with this film, which tells the story of fishermen in Srikakulam. Regardless of when we release it, it will feel like a celebration for the audience.”

Sai Pallavi highlighted the dedication of the team, noting that Naga Chaitanya has been focused on this project for an entire year without considering any other projects. She praised him, saying, “I have never encountered an actor as committed as him.”
Chandu Mondeti added, “We have been receiving numerous messages from Naga Chaitanya’s fans asking about the release date. Allu Aravind selected February 7 as the perfect date for the film’s release.”
Allu Aravind explained the rationale behind choosing this specific date, emphasizing the importance of avoiding competition and generating public interest. “The film has excellent content, and with February 14 being a significant date, we decided to release Thandel on February 7,” he stated.
Producer Bunny Vasulu shared that they initially aimed for a December release but faced challenges due to the need for various permissions and the emphasis on maintaining high-quality standards. He confidently assured fans, “Akkineni fans will love this film, and I guarantee it will join the ₹100 crore club.”
With a captivating storyline and a talented cast, Thandel is shaping up to be a significant cinematic event, promising to resonate with audiences when it releases on February 7.
