Music composer SS Thaman has described his work on Akhanda 2: Thaandavam as a “mind-cleansing” experience, saying that powerful music has the ability to refresh and calm the mind. Speaking about the film’s soundtrack, Thaman explained that he approached the project with deep focus and devotion, aiming to create music that connects strongly with both the story and the audience.

Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, is one of the most anticipated Telugu films in recent times. The film follows the massive success of the first Akhanda, and expectations around its music have been equally high. Thaman, who also composed the music for the original film, said the sequel demanded even greater intensity and emotional depth.

According to the composer, a large amount of time was spent on the background score, which plays a key role in driving the film’s powerful narrative. Thaman revealed that he worked continuously for several weeks, experimenting with different sounds, rhythms and traditional elements to match the film’s spiritual and action-driven themes. He believes music should not only support visuals but also create an inner impact on the listener.

Thaman also shared that the process of composing for Akhanda 2 was physically and mentally demanding, but deeply satisfying. He described music as a form of meditation, saying that when done with complete dedication, it can cleanse negative thoughts and bring positive energy. This philosophy, he said, guided his work throughout the project.

The promotional songs and background themes from the film have already received strong responses from fans, who have praised the music for its intensity and devotional feel. Many viewers feel that the score adds weight to Balakrishna’s powerful screen presence and enhances key moments in the film.

With Akhanda 2, Thaman once again proves his ability to blend mass appeal with emotional depth. His music continues to be a major driving force behind the film’s excitement, leaving audiences eager to experience the full impact on the big screen.
