Thalapathy Vijay has made an announcement in February this year that he is no longer interested in cinema as he is taking plunge into politics. He announced his party name, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, TVK, and also announced that post The G.O.A.T, he would do only one more movie and quit acting. On 22nd August, he officially launched TVK Flag and Anthem.
He hoisted party flag at the Headquarters in Panaiyur, Chennai after unveiling it in front of his supporters. His father, veteran filmmaker S. A. Chandrasekhar and mother Shoba have also been present at the event. The family ended rumours about dispute between his father and Thalapathy Vijay. The flag had red color bands on either side of yellow color band in the middle.
The Emblem contains two War Elephants ready to charge with vaagai flower in the middle, a symbol of victory. Thalapathy Vijay stated that he would explain party principles, manifesto and future action plans at a grand state-level conference, to be held in September. At the event, he also unveiled catchy TVK anthem as well.
The anthem video starts with two war elephants taking on opposition side’s elephants and winning the war. The starting lines mean, “For the victory of Tamil people, The Leader has started his journey”. Well, Thalapathy Vijay at the event made all his supporters pledge to not let any discrimination exist and work for betterment of Tamil people, worldwide.
He also stated that no one should hoist TVK flag without obtaining necessary permissions. He also asked them to hold the flag with pride in their heart. Thalapathy Vijay also stated that they should adhere to Indian constitution and work with complete belief in systems established by yesteryear leaders and should never take law into their hands or commit unlawful activities.
