The recently released Telugu film Telusu Kada has made a strong start at the box office, collecting ₹16.3 crore worldwide in just four days. The makers shared the figures on social media, expressing delight at the film’s performance and urging audiences not to miss this “unique love story” on the big screen.
Telusu Kada, released on 17 October as a Diwali treat, stars young Tollywood actor Siddu Jonnalagadda in the lead role. The movie, directed by well-known costume designer Neeraja Kona in her directorial debut, is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. Music is composed by popular music director Thaman S.
In the film, Siddu plays Varun, an orphan who dreams of having a family of his own. During his college days, he falls in love with Raga, played by KGF actress Srinidhi Shetty. Though he wishes to marry her, Raga rejects him. Later, Varun meets Anjali (Raashii Khanna), and the two get married. Their happy life faces a problem when they plan to have children — and unexpectedly, Raga re-enters Varun’s life.
The story explores why Raga comes back, what she hides, and how her return affects Varun and Anjali’s marriage. The film mixes romance and emotion, presenting a layered narrative that has received mixed reactions from audiences.
