A sexual harassment complaint has been filed by a choreographer, who is a member of the Telugu Film and TV Dancers and Dance Directors Association. This complaint has been submitted to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and subsequently referred to the Chamber’s Sexual Harassment Redressal Panel for further action. The panel will convene an Internal Grievance Committee to investigate the matter in accordance with the guidelines of the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act, 2013.
The POSH Act, which was established to ensure a safe and respectful working environment for all individuals, will guide the inquiry process. The Internal Grievance Committee, a designated body under the Act, will thoroughly examine the allegations and ensure that the case is handled with fairness, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
In addition to the complaint lodged with the Film Chamber, the accused has also filed a counter-complaint with the local police department. As a result, an FIR (First Information Report) has been registered, indicating that both legal and internal investigations are now in progress. The legal process will run parallel to the internal inquiry conducted by the Film Chamber, ensuring a comprehensive approach to resolving the matter.
