Teja Sajja’s much-awaited superhero film Mirai has started its global journey on a strong note, with premiere bookings in the United States showing impressive demand. Industry reports confirm that tickets for the early shows are moving fast, giving the film a solid boost ahead of its worldwide release on September 12.
The positive response overseas highlights the rising popularity of Tollywood’s new generation of stars and reflects the momentum Teja Sajja has carried forward from his blockbuster hit Hanu-Man. Distributors say the bookings indicate strong word-of-mouth even before release, and expectations are growing that Mirai could make a mark at the international box office.
Meanwhile, preparations are in full swing for the domestic release. Mythri Movie Distributors LLP will handle the film in the Nizam region, once again joining hands with Teja after Hanu-Man. Advance bookings in India are expected to open shortly.
On the certification front, Mirai has officially cleared censor formalities and received a U/A certificate. The makers assured fans that the film is suitable for families while still packed with large-scale action and thrilling visuals.
Adding to the excitement, superstar Rajinikanth personally watched the trailer and extended his best wishes to the team, particularly praising Manchu Manoj, who plays the villain. Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is also backing the project, Mirai by presenting the Hindi version, which he believes will showcase Teja Sajja’s rise as a pan-Indian star.
Teja himself recently revealed that the film’s action was shot with minimal VFX, including a daring stunt on a moving train in Sri Lanka and high-intensity sequences in Thailand. He described the filming process as tough but rewarding, calling every bruise “worth it” for the authenticity on screen.
