The recent hosting of the IIFA Awards (IFFA Awards) by Rana Daggubati and Teja Sajja sparked controversy due to some comments made during the event. The remarks made by the duo during the ceremony became a topic of debate, prompting Teja Sajja to clarify his position. In a statement, Teja explained that the IIFA Awards are a prestigious national event, with a significant amount of work put in by scriptwriters. He emphasized that the script was thoroughly checked before being handed over to the hosts and that the clips viewers saw were edited portions. According to Teja, had people seen the full video, no one would have misunderstood their intentions.

Teja also noted that Rana’s jokes about him were taken in good humor, and everyone understood them as jokes. He added that he has been in the industry for a long time, working alongside numerous heroes, and shares a good rapport with them. He further clarified that he never intended to belittle anyone or make anyone feel inferior. Teja suggested that the controversy arose due to a misunderstanding of their words.

Rana joked that next time he would include a subtitle, saying “This is a joke, everyone laugh,” to avoid further confusion.
