Speculation is growing that Akira Nandan, son of Pawan Kalyan, may appear in the upcoming film OG. The action drama, directed by Sujeeth, is scheduled to release on 25 September.
The talk started after the release of the song Power Storm. Some shots from the video made fans feel that Akira was part of the sequence. Reports suggest that Pawan Kalyan’s character will be shown in three stages of life, including his teenage years. Industry sources say Akira might have been chosen to play the younger version of his father’s role.
If true, this would mark Akira’s first appearance on screen, making OG a double celebration for fans. Many feel such a casting choice would bring a special emotional connection, as it would show father and son sharing the same character across generations. However, the filmmakers have not confirmed the news, and that uncertainty has only added to the curiosity.
Production work on OG is in its final stages, with a few days of patch work remaining before post-production is completed. Promotions are expected to begin soon, and another teaser is likely to be released in the coming weeks.
The film is produced by DVV Danayya, who previously backed RRR. Priyanka Arul Mohan plays the female lead, while Thaman is composing the music. His first track, Power Storm, has already become popular with fans, and a second song, Suvvi Suvvi, will be released during Vinayaka Chavithi.
With its gangster backdrop, mass appeal and the possibility of introducing Akira Nandan, OG has become one of the most talked-about films in Telugu cinema this year. The release, timed for the Dussehra festival, is being planned as a pan-India project for Pawan Kalyan.
