Blockbuster heroes from across India are coming together to launch the trailer of Kantara: Chapter One, the much-awaited prequel to Rishab Shetty’s hit film Kantara. The makers have planned a grand nationwide release of the trailer, with top stars representing different languages.
In Telugu, the trailer will be launched by ‘Darling’ Prabhas. Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan will unveil it in Hindi, Malayalam audiences will see their hero Prithviraj Sukumaran release it, and Tamil fans will get it through Sivakarthikeyan. All four launches are set for Monday, 22 September, at exactly 12:45 pm on the stars’ social media handles.
The unique promotional strategy has already caught the attention of film fans. Bringing in leading actors from different industries is expected to give the film an even bigger pan-India impact before its release.
“This kind of nationwide support shows how special the film is going to be,” a member of the production team said during the announcement.
The first Kantara, released in 2022, was a cultural and commercial sensation, making waves across languages and establishing Rishab Shetty as a major star. With Chapter One, expectations have grown even higher. Industry experts are predicting that it could become the next Kannada film to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark worldwide.
The film is produced by Hombale Productions, the banner behind record-breaking hits like KGF and Kantara. Known for delivering grand-scale films, the studio is treating this project as yet another landmark for the Kannada industry.
Rishab Shetty, just like in the original, is both directing and acting in the film. Music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, whose work in the first film was widely praised for its intensity and cultural depth.
With an already massive following and such powerful promotional backing, Kantara: Chapter One is expected to be more than just a sequel. For audiences, it promises another cinematic journey blending culture, mythology, and drama on a grand scale.
