Satyadev and Venkatesh Maha reunite for ‘Rao Bahadur’

The acclaimed actor-director duo of Satyadev and Venkatesh Maha are joining forces once again, this time with an ambitious new project titled Rao Bahadur. Their previous collaboration, Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, was met with critical praise and solid box office success, and expectations are running high for their latest outing.

Venkatesh Maha, who made a mark with his debut Care of Kancharapalem, is returning to direction after a considerable gap. Rao Bahadur is being produced by A Plus S Movies and Srichakraas Entertainment, with Mahesh Babu presenting the film under the GMB Movies banner. Notably, GMB Movies previously backed Adivi Sesh’s hit Major, and their support is once again expected to boost this project’s scale and reach.

The film’s promotional campaign has already begun with a striking pre-look poster that sparked curiosity, followed by the official first look released today. In the poster, Satyadev appears in a completely unrecognisable avatar — sporting an antique gold-embellished outfit and adorned with an elaborate peacock ornament, exuding a regal and mysterious charm. The transformation has drawn attention and set social media abuzz.

Both Satyadev and Venkatesh Maha bring proven track records to the table. While Maha is known for his unique storytelling style, Satyadev has recently impressed audiences with his performance in Kingdom. The combination of the director’s narrative finesse and the actor’s range is expected to deliver something truly special.

With the first look creating a positive buzz, all eyes are now on the film’s teaser, which is set to release on 18 August in theatres and online. Industry watchers are eager to see how Maha’s creative vision will unfold in Rao Bahadur and whether it will match or surpass their previous success.
Given the excitement surrounding the project, Rao Bahadur could well become one of the most talked-about Telugu films of the year.
