Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been responsible for bringing together Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. In fact, their real life romance blossomed after his films like Ramleela and Bajirao Mastani. In their third collaboration, Padmaavat, he managed to keep the pair apart on screen, yet, give them a chemistry that is eerie and disturbing.
He has been able to create characters for them and produce impeccable chemistry between them in different ways. He worked with Alia Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiawadi and the movie has become a hit. Now, he is bringing her real life partner Ranbir Kapoor to pair up with her into his next love story. Seems like Ranbir and Alia are like his next pairing like Deepika and Ranveer.
Ranbir Kapoor worked with him as assistant director for Black and then debuted as hero with Saawariya. As that film bombed, Ranbir and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have never come together again. This new film, marks their combination coming back again. Also, Vicky Kaushal has been added to the cast.
The movie is titled as “Love and War”. It is slated for release for Christmas 2025. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his love stories like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devadas, Bajirao Mastani and we can expect him to deliver another great piece with ensemble cast including such power house of talents. Let’s hope he creates another masterpiece.
