Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is one of those outspoken creative professionals in Indian Cinema. He has been known for speaking his mind and standing true to his words. After Arjun Reddy and Animal, he has become one of the most sought after directors of Indian Cinema. Now, he is working with Prabhas for his next and he announced the title, Spirit.
In an interview with well-known critic Baradwaj Rangan for a YouTube channel, Sandeep Reddy Vanga talked about Spirit. He confirmed that Prabhas will be playing a cop in this film and it will be Prabhas’s 25th film as well. He further stated that he is currently writing the script and shooting will start in December. Prabhas will finish Kalki 2898 AD and The Raja Saab films and join Spirit.
During the interview, for a question about feasibility of the budget, he stated that according to trade calculations, Spirit should easily debut with Rs.150 crores collection on opening day, itself. He stated that Rs.300 crores is a feasible budget for his and Prabhas combination. He also stated that he hopes for all the promotional material to work for the film.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga expressed confidence in presenting Prabhas in a new way like no one else did in the actor’s other 24 films. He continued to say that the character is terrific and Prabhas is excited about it. Unrelated to this film, he stated that he loved Manam and would have wished to make Mahanati, in a different manner. He also stated that he would have chosen to direct Uppena.
Currently, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is happy with Animal blockbuster success and wants to continue his success streak with Spirit as well.
