Actress Samantha recently made an interesting comment about working with the Bollywood director duo Raj and DK, revealing the challenges she faced during their collaboration on The Family Man 2. Samantha expressed that working with Raj and DK was much more demanding compared to her experience in Telugu and Tamil films. She said, “It’s much more relaxed to work in Telugu and Tamil films than with Raj and DK. I usually shoot for two or three films a day, but that wasn’t the case here. The scenes would be shot in just an hour. Some key scenes and fight sequences of my role in Raazi (in The Family Man 2) were shot in the first schedule itself.”
Samantha went on to explain how intense the process was, adding that after two days of shooting in Chennai, she called her manager, saying, “I’m coming home.” However, she quickly adapted to their working style and grew to appreciate it, saying, “I got used to their working style. I loved working with this team once again for Citadel: Honeybunny.”

Raj and DK, who also spoke about their experience with Samantha during the shoot, recalled a particularly emotional moment. They shared, “We didn’t know how many emotions Samantha was going through during the shoot of The Family Man 2. After two days of shooting in Chennai, she came to us and asked, ‘Has the film been completed? Or do we have to do something else?’ She cried like a baby when we told her we were done. We were confused and looked at each other, realizing it was really difficult for her.”
Samantha’s role in The Family Man 2 was widely appreciated, marking her first collaboration with Raj and DK. Their most recent project together was Citadel: Honeybunny, a spy action film starring Varun Dhawan, released on Amazon Prime on November 7. Samantha’s portrayal of the character Honey in Citadel impressed action fans, further solidifying her versatility as an actress.
