Actress Samantha continues to captivate audiences with her powerful performance in the web series Citadel: Honey Bunny, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. In a recent interview, she shared her thoughts on the role of women in films and the responsibility she feels as an actress to promote fair representation.

Samantha emphasized the importance of portraying women in a dignified and substantial way in the industry. She said, “The audience is watching everything, and that’s why we have to be responsible in our roles. When I am representing a subject, I take full responsibility for it. I believe it is crucial to ensure there is fair representation of women in society, and that reflects in the roles I choose.”

She further explained that she actively avoids roles that have little to no substance, stating, “I stay away from roles that are limited to just two or three scenes. I carefully think about the kind of work I do, especially in ads and movies, because it is important for me to contribute meaningfully to the representation of women.”

Samantha also spoke about her challenging experience working in Citadel: Honey Bunny, where she performed action scenes alongside her male co-stars. “I found it challenging to act in Citadel: Honey Bunny because I was given the same action scenes as the hero. Opportunities like that are rare, and many actors are waiting for such chances. I’ve had many offers, but I’ve chosen projects that reflect my values,” she said.

In addition to her role in Citadel: Honey Bunny, which is the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra, Samantha’s performance has been praised by critics and audiences alike. As she continues to break stereotypes and push boundaries, Samantha remains committed to ensuring that women’s roles in cinema evolve and are given the importance they deserve.
