Ruhani Sharma lines up big projects

Ruhani Sharma

Ruhani Sharma has her hands full this year with upcoming films in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. One of her most anticipated projects is Mask, a Tamil political thriller backed by filmmaker Vetrimaaran and directed by Vikarnan Ashok. Set in a political landscape, the film has finished shooting and is now in post-production.
In Hindi, she recently appeared in Blackout alongside Vikrant Massey. The film, which premiered on JioCinema, is a one-night crime thriller featuring an ensemble cast. While reviews have been mixed, the film added to her growing presence in Bollywood.

Back in Telugu, Sharma continues to work regularly. Her role as a cop in HER – Chapter 1 drew attention last year for its female-led crime narrative. She was also seen in HIT: The First Case and Nootokka Jillala Andagadu, adding to her Telugu filmography.

Going back, Agra, directed by Kanu Behl, premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and sparked online conversation after scenes from the film were leaked. Ruhani Sharma said that she was disppointed about the breach of privacy but stood by the film and the team behind it. Agra deals with themes like masculinity and repressed emotion in middle-class India.

Sharma also worked in ads and music videos, appearing in campaigns for brands like Kalyan Jewellers and Close-Up. She’s also active on social media, often sharing snippets from her shoots, personal life, and travels. With projects across multiple languages and genres, Ruhani Sharma is keeping a good pace as she juggles mainstream and indie projects.
