Riddhi Kumar, the talented actress from Pune, is set to play the lead in the upcoming Telugu film The Rajasab, starring Prabhas. The movie is scheduled to release on 9 January next year, during the Sankranti festival.
Riddhi began her career as a model, winning the Miss Pune 2015 title and later Face of India 2016. She made her acting debut in 2018 with the Telugu film Lover, starring Raj Tarun. Since then, she has appeared in Marathi and Malayalam films, as well as Hindi web series, including Cross Course, where she gained recognition for her performance alongside Anukupoor. She also acted in the Malayalam films Pranaya Meenukalude Kadal and Anaganaga Oka Premakatha.
Born in Pune, Maharashtra, Riddhi comes from a disciplined family—her father serves in the Indian Army, and her mother, Alka Kumar, is an advocate. She completed her graduation in philosophy from Ferguson College. From a young age, she worked as a dance teacher, event manager, and anchor, proving her versatility across different fields.
Recently, Riddhi joined the The Rajasab team for song shoots in Europe. After completing the schedules, the team celebrated with a grand party. Riddhi shared several pictures from the celebration on Instagram, posing with co-stars Malavika Mohanan and Nidhi Agarwal, as well as producer SKN and director Maruthi. She captioned the post, “Best time… happy to be spending time with The Rajasab team,” which quickly went viral on social media.
The Rajasab marks Prabhas’ first horror-comedy film. Riddhi, along with Malavika Mohanan and Nidhi Agarwal, plays a lead role. The movie’s songs have been shot across Europe, adding an international flavour to the project. Fans are eagerly waiting for the release, expecting another hit from the talented director Maruthi and the star-studded cast.
