Nepotism has long been a hot topic in the film industry, and many actors are frequently asked to comment on it during promotional interviews. Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who has made her mark in both Bollywood and Tollywood, recently shared her thoughts on how nepotism has impacted her career. Despite missing out on several opportunities because of it, Rakul maintains a positive outlook.

During a recent interview, Rakul candidly acknowledged the existence of nepotism in the industry. “Yes, there is nepotism in the industry, and I’ve lost opportunities because of it,” she admitted. However, she was quick to add that it doesn’t affect her mindset. “It doesn’t bother me. Those films were simply not meant for me.”

Rakul, who entered the film industry with no prior experience, credits her resilience to her upbringing. Her father, a former army officer, instilled in her valuable life lessons that continue to guide her career. “My father worked in the army, and his experiences and advice have taught me a lot. I don’t dwell on small things like missed opportunities. It’s a part of life,” she explained.

The actress also emphasized the importance of focusing on personal growth instead of worrying about what she couldn’t control. “I don’t waste time thinking about what I missed. Instead, I focus on what I can do personally,” she said. While acknowledging that it’s easier for star kids to get opportunities, Rakul expressed no bitterness. “It’s easier for them, but that’s their parents’ problem, not mine.”

Rakul Preet Singh continues to be a prominent name in the industry despite these challenges. She is currently working on De De Pyaar De 2, the sequel to the 2019 hit De De Pyaar De, in which she starred alongside Ajay Devgn. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film is highly anticipated and is expected to bring the same charm as the original.

Rakul’s ability to stay grounded and focused on her own path, despite the hurdles of nepotism, has made her a role model for aspiring actors who don’t have industry connections. As she continues to build her career, her story serves as a reminder that success can still be achieved through hard work and determination.
