‘Pushpa 2’ Hits Rs 1000 Cr, Allu Arjun Says It’s India’s Victory

The team behind Pushpa 2: The Rule held a special ‘Thank You India’ press meet to celebrate the monumental success of the film, which has entered the prestigious Rs 1000 crore club. This record-breaking achievement marks Pushpa 2 as the fastest film to hit the Rs 1000 crore milestone, stunning audiences and the film industry alike.

Anil Thadani from AA Films, the film’s distributor, began the event by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the global audience for their unwavering support. “I would like to thank the audience worldwide. I am so glad to be a part of this historic film,” he said, also expressing hope that the film would reach the Rs 2000 crore mark in the future.

Producer Naveen Yerneni thanked the fans and reiterated his desire for the film to achieve even greater heights, emphasizing director Sukumar’s relentless work ethic. “Sukumar sir works the hardest. He has worked non-stop. He is like a magician,” Yerneni stated.

Producer Y Ravi Shankar also spoke about the film’s financial success, noting that the real joy comes from seeing the happiness of the film’s stakeholders. He praised Anil Thadani for successfully releasing the film in northern India and overseas, while also highlighting Allu Arjun’s dedication to his role. “The climax was shot for 32 days. Every day, he would be hung onto ropes, with physiotherapists on set to ensure nothing went wrong,” he shared.

Icon Star Allu Arjun, visibly emotional, thanked the entire nation for its “wild love.” “This is not just love, but wild love,” he said. He credited the success of the film to the collective effort of the Indian film industries, state governments, and police departments, acknowledging that the scale of the film’s release would not have been possible without their support. “It’s our country’s victory, not just mine,” Allu Arjun added, highlighting the unity and enthusiasm shown by audiences across India.

When asked about his favorite sequence from Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun said, “Every time I say ‘Jukega nahi,’ it’s my favorite moment. The film is not just about my character; it’s about the attitude of every Indian.”

Reflecting on the future, Allu Arjun stated, “Records are meant to be broken. It’s nice to be in this place for now, but by next summer, some other film might break Pushpa 2’s records. That’s what growth is all about.”
