Pan-India star Prabhas is set to make 2026 a memorable year for his fans with two big film releases, The Raja Saab for Sankranti and Fauji in August. After years of taking time between projects like Baahubali and Saaho, the actor has been working at a much faster pace to fulfil his promise of bringing at least one or two films to the big screen each year.
Originally, The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, was planned for release this year. But the schedule was pushed back slightly due to production delays. The team has now locked 9 January 2026, during Sankranti, as the official release date. The film, a horror comedy thriller, will show Prabhas in a unique role that fans have not seen before.
Currently, Prabhas is in Greece filming the remaining songs for The Raja Saab. Once he returns to India, the shooting will be wrapped up completely.
Meanwhile, his other project Fauji, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is also in its final stages. Only 25 days of talkie portions and action scenes are left to be filmed. The makers are aiming for an August 2026 release, setting up a double treat for Prabhas fans in the same year.
Unlike his previous long gaps between releases, Prabhas has maintained a steady shooting schedule for both films. He has also lined up several other projects, but these two are expected to arrive first.
With The Raja Saab promising entertainment during the festive Sankranti season and Fauji bringing action and drama later in the year, Prabhas looks ready to dominate the box office in 2026. Fans may not see a release from him this year, but the excitement is already building for next year’s back-to-back blockbusters.
