On October 1, Modi spoke with Rajinikanth’s wife, Latha, to gather details regarding the actor’s condition. This information was shared by Annamalai, the President of the Tamil Nadu BJP.
During the conversation, Modi expressed his concern and hoped for Rajinikanth’s swift recovery. The Prime Minister’s gesture has been well received by fans and the film fraternity alike, highlighting the widespread admiration for the iconic actor.
In addition to the Prime Minister, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and actor Kamal Haasan have also extended their best wishes for Rajinikanth’s speedy recovery. Popular actor Vijay joined in, posting a heartfelt message on social media, praying for Rajinikanth’s quick return home.
Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road, Chennai, late on Monday night. A medical bulletin released by the hospital on Tuesday evening provided insights into his condition. It revealed that the actor was suffering from swelling in the main artery of the heart, a serious condition that required medical intervention. The doctors successfully treated him using a transcatheter method, during which a stent was implanted to restore proper blood flow.
