Pedro Pascal, who is all set to make his Marvel debut as Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards), shared a fun behind-the-scenes moment from The Fantastic Four. The film, which marks the start of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is scheduled to release in Indian theatres on July 25, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

While promoting the film, Pascal revealed an amusing challenge he faced during the shoot. In an interview with Vanity Fair, he said he got so into character that he began speaking in a 1960s-style accent. “I gave it my 100%,” he explained, “but the team kept pulling me back.” He added, “I don’t know if I was doing it right, but they kept having to pull me back from this very Mid-Atlantic, early 60s sound.”

The production even brought in a dialect coach to help the actors find the right tone. Pascal laughed about how much he committed to the period style: “They had to pull me aside and say, ‘Just speak normally.’ I really got into it. It was tough to let go because it felt right for the era. But what they’re creating is something we haven’t seen before.”

Directed by Matt Shakman, The Fantastic Four also stars Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer. With a fresh cast and a unique approach, the film aims to give fans a new and exciting take on Marvel’s first family.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see how Pedro Pascal brings the iconic Reed Richards to life in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
