Analysis:
The movie starts off a slightly off-beat note. It takes its time to set up the characters and the kind of edgy and stoner comedy it is tending to. At this point, you end up asking yourself, is this movie really going to deliver like it promises. Many scenes look like copies from other famous comic films and the jokes don’t really land as well. As the movie progresses, it just feels like dragging the wafer thin plot line as much as it can for the runtime. The obvious twists are prolonged and at one point in time, we feel like the movie will end up going nowhere.

In the second hour, the story gets much needed boost and few jokes land. The adult comedy and the unexpected twist does lend themselves to the comic scenes. In this hour, we get to see director being sensitive towards a very over-used stereotypical comic transgender comedy. He handled it with surprisingly good maturity but at the same time, the jokes and screenplay went nowhere. We get the resolution very quickly and everyone whom are established in negative turn positive just like that. Such randomness has been the strength of Hushaaru but here it just falls apart with unfunny one-liners.

At places, Sree Vishnu and Rahul Ramakrishna make the jokes work. Their performances keep us hooked while Priyadarshi as the nerd of the group did not get such consistent one-liners. The script is uneven so much so that the predictable scenes is second hour seem better handled than the first hour. While the makers wanted viewers to just be lost in the magic not thinking about the logic, they did not really try to create that magic on screen. We keep questioning why these things are happening rather than how. When the question is about how, it is all about logic but when it is why, it is about screenply being haywire.

The story and characters needed some more imagination for the film to be as engaging as the makers wanted it to be. Music by Sunny MR has one good melody and many similar songs that he keeps composing. Back ground score is good in second hour but not really helping for the scenes. Cinematography and Production Values are good in the film. On the whole, we can say that movie could have been much better with even better script.

Positives:
Few Jokes
Sree Vishnu’s timing
Sensitive handling of transgender scenes
Good Production Values

Negatives:
Too Loud BGM
Random scenes
Underwhelming first hour
Horror and comedy forced blend
