Nora Fatehi Apologizes: On Thursday Nora Fatehi who works as an actor and dancer visited the National Commission for Women to address the conflict that emerged from her performance in the song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from the movie KD: The Devil.
Nora issued her public apology after attending the hearing and she explained that the song and its visuals never intended to cause emotional harm. She explained to the media that artists possess social obligations because their work exists within the public domain.

Nora established a charitable initiative to counter the controversy that emerged from the situation. She declared her commitment to finance the educational expenses of orphaned girls because she wants to create a positive impact on society through her entertainment career.
Reports indicate that the actress delivered her written apology to the Commission during her session at the Commission. saying, ”I have submitted my apology to the Commission. It was not my intention to offend anybody. I have to be responsible as an artist. I have decided to sponsor the education for a few orphan girls.”
The Hindi version of Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke had drawn criticism online over its allegedly vulgar lyrics and suggestive dance visuals. The NCW had earlier taken suo motu cognisance of the issue, claiming the content could promote indecent representation of women.
The Commission called witnesses from the project who included Sanjay Dutt as actor Raqueeb Alam as lyricist Venkat K. Narayana as producer and Kiran Kumar as director.
Song Reportedly Removed From YouTube
The Hindi version of the controversial song disappeared from YouTube after the company faced public outrage and legal investigations. The situation continues to spark online debate about the boundaries of artistic expression and the practice of censorship and the responsibilities that accompany mainstream cinematic content.
