In her open letter on social media, Nayanthara expressed deep disappointment and frustration over Dhanush’s alleged refusal to grant permission to use any footage from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her documentary. She claimed to have sought Dhanush’s consent for nearly two years, yet her requests were consistently ignored. According to her, this denial was an act of personal spite, depriving her of the chance to share this meaningful part of her life with audiences. The film is significant as it marked the beginning of her relationship with director Vignesh Shivan, whom she later married.
