The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) are currently taking place in Dubai, where Dasara, Baby, and Hi Nanna have collectively won consecutive awards in Tollywood. Nani was honored with the Best Actor award for his remarkable performance in Dasara, a prestigious accolade he received from fellow actor Vijay Deverakonda.
During the award presentation, Vijay took a moment to reflect on their time working together on Yevade Subrahmanyam, where he made his mark as an actor. He expressed his gratitude for the support Nani provided during the early days of his career, fondly referring to him as “Anna,” a term of respect in the industry.

“I played a key role in Yevade Subrahmanyam for the first time,” Vijay recalled. “I remember going to the office for the audition, and I was thrilled to interact with Nani, although I felt a bit nervous. The first film for any actor is always unforgettable, and it brought back many sweet memories. Nani was incredibly supportive at that time. I will always love and respect you, Nani. Everyone in the industry calls you Anna, and I don’t know why, but today, I’m joining in. I’m so happy for your success and honored to present you with this award today,” he said.
Nani responded with heartfelt appreciation, saying, “I am truly delighted to receive this award. We had many discussions about films while we worked together. Vijay often asked insightful questions, demonstrating his eagerness to learn. I can confidently say that next year, I will be handing you this award on the same stage for my film with Gowtam Tinnanuri. That’s a promise,” he added with a smile.
Nani also took the opportunity to congratulate the entire team of Dasara for their well-deserved recognition at the awards. The evening was not only a celebration of individual achievements but also a testament to the collaborative spirit that defines Tollywood.
