Actor Naga Chaitanya is busy working on his upcoming film, tentatively titled NC24, which is shaping up to be one of the most exciting projects of his career. The movie, directed by Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame, is a mythical thriller — a genre Naga Chaitanya is exploring for the first time. The film is being produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra LLP (SVCC) and Sukumar Writings, with BVSN Prasad and Sukumar backing the project and Bapineedu presenting it.
According to the production team, about 50 per cent of the film’s shoot has already been completed. The story reportedly combines elements of mythology, mystery, and intense human emotion, giving audiences something fresh and intriguing. Director Karthik Dandu is known for his visual storytelling, and NC24 is said to push those boundaries even further.
A major portion of the filming is taking place in Hyderabad, where the makers have built an elaborate cave set at Annapurna Studios. This grand setup will play an important role in the upcoming schedule, which includes a six-day shoot featuring the lead actors. Along with Naga Chaitanya, the film stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, while Viva Harsha and senior actor Jayaram play supporting roles.
Music for NC24 is being composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, who gained national attention for his powerful score in Kantara. His involvement has raised expectations for the film’s soundtrack and background music, which are expected to play a key role in enhancing its mystical and emotional tone.
The makers are planning to release NC24 in summer 2026, aiming for a wide theatrical launch across multiple languages. Fans are particularly excited as this film marks a departure from Naga Chaitanya’s usual romantic and action roles, offering something more intense and layered.
