The team behind the film Tandel has expressed that the song “Shivaratri” will be a significant milestone in Naga Chaitanya’s career. This song, which was filmed with over a thousand performers, is expected to leave a lasting impression. The movie features Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, with Chandoo Mondeti directing. Produced under the Geetha Arts banner by Bunny Vasu and presented by Allu Aravind, Tandel is being made on a pan-Indian scale.
According to insiders, the “Shivaratri” song, which plays a key role in the film, is set against the backdrop of the Maha Shivaratri festival and is poised to become a major highlight of the movie. The choreography, led by dance director Sekhar, involved not only the lead actors, Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, but also more than a thousand supporting artists.
The film is based on true events that occurred in D. Matsyalesham, a village in Srikakulam district. Despite being rooted in reality, the emotional experiences and incidents in the lives of the two lovers in the story are said to be more thrilling than fictional tales. Central to the film is the ancient Mukhalingam Shiva temple in Srikakulam, which is also referred to as the “Kashi of the South.” The inspiration for the song comes from the grand Maha Shivaratri festivities celebrated at this temple.

The production team spared no effort in creating massive sets and ensuring the song was filmed with the highest production values. The film also boasts an impressive technical team, with cinematography by Shamdat, editing by Navin Nooli, and art direction by Sri Nagendra Tangala.
