The highly anticipated film Mr. Bachchan, directed by Harish Shankar, is set to make its debut on Netflix on September 12. This Telugu-language film will also be available in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, broadening its reach across South Indian audiences.
Starring Ravi Teja in the lead role, Mr. Bachchan showcases the actor as an honest and brave Income Tax officer named Bachchan. Known for his strong ethical values, Bachchan’s career takes a dramatic turn when he discovers a large stash of black money during a raid on a corrupt tobacco merchant. His commitment to justice leads to his suspension by higher authorities. Disheartened by this outcome, Bachchan returns to his native village, Kotipalli, where he forms an orchestra troupe.

In Kotipalli, Bachchan meets Jikki, played by Bhagyashree Borse. The two fall in love, although Bachchan initially resists their burgeoning relationship. However, Bachchan’s life takes another turn when he is summoned back to the Income Tax Department for a new assignment.
The new mission requires Bachchan to visit the residence of MP Muthyam Jaggaiah, portrayed by Jagapathi Babu. Jaggaiah is a notorious figure known for his oppressive and tyrannical grip on the system. The film will explore the challenges Bachchan faces as he confronts Jaggaiah and seeks to bring him to justice. The storyline also raises questions about the impact of this mission on Bachchan and Jikki’s future together.
